As per an update Thursday morning by the Jamaica Observer, an ocelot which was among several other animals detained in Black River, St. Elizabeth is still on the loose almost a day after going missing.

4 monkeys, 12 parrots and marijuana were also seized by Jamaica’s coast guard after a vessel was stopped and searched off the south coast of the island on Wednesday.

Citizens are being urged to contact JDF, NEPA or the JCF if the cat is spotted so that the necessary actions can be taken to recapture the animal.
