65yo Man Who Assaulted Nurse Denied Bail

The suspect who was seen stepping on a nurse’s head in a video that went viral last week, 65-year-old businessman Robert Bell who is from a St. Andrew Address was denied bail when he appeared in court Wednesday morning.

Bell’s lawyer Christopher Townsend told the court that his client has a good reputation in his community and he should be eligible to be releases from custody, noting that Bell did not hide from the police and was about to report to the police on the day he was arrest.

Lawenfrocers also told the court that the suspect is not a threat to the public. However, as per the judge, the businessman was denied bond because of concerns that he might get attacked by angry individuals.

The case is scheduled to continue in court on July 9.
