The body of nine-year-old Kelsey Cassidy Ferrigon was discovered upside down in a barrel at her home about 8 PM on Friday. The report also details that most of her clothes were removed and there are signs of sexual assault plus bruises on the body.
Police are now seeking the whereabouts of a 39-year-old man named Giovanni Ellis who they say is the main suspect. The incident took place on Job Lane in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
Head of the Criminal Investigations Branch, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Wayne Josephs outlined that lawenforcers will be taking the necessary measure and actions to make sure that justice is served.
“We are utilising every single resource at our disposal – our investigators, our forensic teams, our intelligence networks – to relentlessly pursue and apprehend the monster responsible for this act,” said ACP Josephs.
