Right after withdrawing from the World Athletics Diamond League in the United Kingdom, 5 times Olympic Gold medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah decided to take part in the JAAA Jubilee series at the National Stadium where she put on a show regardless of her discomfort to clock 10.94 seconds to win her 100-metre sprint race.
Even though the sprinter made it known to the public that there was a discomfort that she was being extremely cautious about, she ran an easy 11.35 seconds in the heat to gain her qualification spot for the finals.
In the end, Thompson-Herah seemed to have maintained her form as there were no reports of her showing any form of instability because of the run which saw her finishing ahead of Remona Burchell who ran 11.31 seconds, to take the win.
