Weeks ago, rumours surfaced that 19-year-old Reggae Boy Kaheim Dixon was about to sign for Charlton Athletic Football Club from Kingston/St. Andrew-based football club Arnett Gardens.
On Friday, the club announced the signing of a four-year contract by the Jamaican.
“I’m really pleased to be here… My first chance to turn professional is with the Addicks,” said Dixon regarding the move to the east-London club.
The fee for the transfer was not made public.
The teen who has scored twice for Jamaica is expected to play for Charlton’s first team in the near future. He is the club’s 8th signing of the summer transfer window.
Dixon joins fellow Reggae Boy Karoy Anderson who is an Academy graduate of the club and also represented Jamaica at this year’s Copa America tournament.
At the moment, Charlton Athletic is in 4th place in the EFL League One table, they won their first two matches.
