Over a year since Crab Circle vendor Alice Waugh was caught on camera doing an unsanitary deed at her stall in Kingston, she has returned to the location to carry out her business activities, and she’s already being supported and backlash.
Alice return to the National Heroes Circle food spot recently after she reportedly completed training at the HEART/NSTA Trust and holds a valid food handler’s permit.
As expected, her return to the popular spot was greeted with mixed reactions, one fender in particular pointed out that Alice is causing her to lose customers, however, Alice is not shaken by her neighbour’s claims.
Alice who has been vending at the location for over 40 years stated, “all who nuh wah mi deh yah, a fi dem business dat,” to a STAR reporter. She also asked, “A nuh dem come out yah come see mi?”
A video clip now making rounds online shows Waugh being visited at her stall by internet personality Queenie and female Dancehall aritste Suspense. Notably, Suspense mentioned that she is related to Alice and it was all smiles as they greeted each other.
The food vendor, who was caught on video wiping her butt after defecating inside the outdoor cook shop, was fined $250, 000 and as been away from the location since October 2023.
In 2024, Alice stated that she’s eager to return to the location because, “A mi livelihood weh mi use to [ … ] mi nuh know nothing else [ … ] One year mi lock down a mi yard. Mi nah work, nothing at all. See mi deh yah lie down every day.”
She continued, “Mi tell all the judge seh a nuff time mi nuh have food fi eat, a water mi afi drink. Water many nights and go ah mi bed, nothing to eat!”
As per Robert Hill, CEO of the KSAMC, an investigation is currently being carried out into the matter, he also stated that he heard of her return to the location last week.

On the other hand, vendor Nadine Francis, who recorded and published the video of Alice carrying out the unhygienic act, relocated to a location along Mountain View Road in East Kingston after reportedly receiving multiple threats.

Reacting to the video online, one person on Instagram stated, “Same way people can forgive Alice and still buy from her same way they can bring the the other lady back and allow her to make her money in peace.”
