American Sportswear Brand Nike rides Reggae Beat

The new Air Brand of sneakers released by the company was inspired by Reggae and other musical genres. The new Nike sneakers have five new colour schemes, because of the five vibrant music genres: Reggae, heavy metal, punk rock, hip hop and electronic dance music.

The Reggae style has a calm, rhythmic nature and earthy tones like tan, green and white.

The Nike brand also a classic Nike Air in the colours of the Jamaican flag as they paid homage to Jamaica and its Culture.

EDM has the brightest shoe, with shades of crimson, pink and red to represent excitement and thrill of the scene. The hip hop sneakers has a black on black panel that stands for activism, love and rage needed for change. 

The Heavy Metal shoe has a metallic Nike Swoosh against deeper shades of purple, black and blue with a green splash. The Punk Rock Sneakers are classic and clean, perfect for the show, with a signature black and white contrast.

The cost of the sneakers is US$150

Nike is the largest supplier of athletic shoes, apparel and sports equipment in the world. The company started in 1964 and earned US$24.1 billion in its fiscal year 2012.
