More Lawless Public Passenger Vehicle Operators on The Roads Cause a Second Police Officer to be Injured

It was recently reported that another police officer was hit down by the driver of a public passenger vehicle (PPV) on Friday in St. James.

The traffic Cop was allegedly knocked off his motorcycle by a minibus driver when he tried to stop him or her for a traffic violation.

The officer fired shots at the vehicle after he was hit even though his left leg was injured.

He was treated at the hospital and sent home later in the day.

It is not clear at this time if this driver has been found by the police.

This has been the second officer that has been injured by a driver that has not followed the instructions given to them since the beginning of this year.

The first officer that was hit had broken bones in the legs and the driver who was responsible has not been found yet.

It was another PPV driver who was being pulled over for traffic violation and the car that was involved was found in the East Kingston area not long after the hit and run incident took place, but the driver has not been found.

The police issued a person of interest notice and the driver is being searched for currently.

It is alleged that on the 27th of January a taxi driver who attempted to run over an officer was shot dead in downtown Kingston as well.
