Antonee First Class Tells Men to Dress Like Men in New Single ‘Fashion Alert’
Rising Dancehall artiste, Antonee First Class has a lot to say regarding men wearing their pants below their bottom on his latest track titled ‘Fashion Alert’ that was released on his YouTube channel on June 12.
This single has a combination of social commentary along with heavy hitting lyrics from the deejay who is addressing the ongoing debate concerning the ambiguity of men’s fashion choices in recent memory, more specifically the trend that involves men wearing their pants below their waist, ultimately revealing their undergarments and buttocks.
Calling out the men who engage in this fashion practice, the artiste said,
“Mi nah guh pon nuh stage wid nuh man and perform wid him batty outta door like pickney juss born.”
The riddim for the single was made by 8 time Grammy nominated musician and winner, JazzWad. JazzWad boasts a heavy catalogue of collaborations with iconic Dancehall and Reggae acts such as, Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Garnett Silk and Damian Marley just to name a few.
Song is currently being featured by GT Taylor on Irie fm, and being played on SunCity FM & Unique (UK) Vibes (UK) Roots FM (UK) radio stations plus others.
Antonee First Class and JazzWad have extensive history going back to their pre-teen years where the deejay was the first to give JazzWad his name that is now his musical moniker. Both musicians are from London, England but they now reside between Jamaica and the United States as they continue their musical relationship and friendship.
JazzWad has had positive influences in music as his Godfather was the legendary Dennis Brown who is also a close friend of JazzWad’s father. Both Antonee and JazzWad do a lot of work behind the scenes such as being musical supervisors for TV shows and internet content.
Antonee has been immersed in music since he was a child due to the fact that his father, Militant Barry, was a producer along with his Godfather, Tappa Zukie who was also a producer that he spent many nights with in the studio growing up.
His penmanship was one that was prolific in his younger years as he ghostwrote for many aspiring and established artistes. Antonee has spent the better part of a decade touring with The English Beat Band, a prominent pop, rock and Reggae band who have many musical accolades such as multiple songs that charted on the Billboard.
Antonee is also fresh off tour with UB40, Maxi Priest and Jamaican MC, New Kidz.
