Bad Blood at New Rules – Intence and Armanii Take aim at Fellow Dancehall Artistes

Dancehall artiste Intence gave fans a lot to uncover after his performance at New Rules on Saturday July 5, 2025. The artiste delivered a well received performance at the Trelawny Stadium with a barrage of hits such as, Yahoo Boyz, Guh Hard and Yeng just to name a few.

However, fans are speculating that the deejay was sending shots in the direction of Dancehall legend, Vybz Kartel during his set on stage. The ‘Voyage’ deejay had some things that he wanted to get off his chest before he proceeded to perform one of his songs.

During his speech he said, “Mi list my top 5 artiste but some man have a problem wid dat, but when some other artiste a list dem top 5 nobody nuh have no problem.”

He continued by saying, “Yow some man fi guh suck… ay ay.”

He didn’t finish the phrase however fans seemingly read in between the lines and assumed the deejay was talking about Vybz Kartel.

The rant is an apparent response to the criticism that Intence faced by not including Vybz Kartel on his list when asked about his personal top 5 musical legends in an interview with Capital Xtra earlier this year. This exclusion came to the surprise of many as the list included, Alkaline, Mavado and Shabba Ranks.

Intence and Vybz Kartel is said to have history dating back to 2020 which saw the release of a song by Intence titled ‘Havoc’. This song is believed to be a Vybz Kartel diss.

That wasn’t the only instance where an artiste called out another at the event, as young Dancehall star, Armanii sent a more direct shot towards Valiant during his set.

Questimes posted a video on Instagram showing the ‘8:00 PM’ deejay performing. While doing so he sang on his set in a melodic tone, “Suck yuh mada Valiant.”

There’s said to be animosity between both singjays as of recent and this seems to be confirmation of that on Armanii’s end.
