Carlene shared that her daughter Crystal had just donated blood for her brother. According to the former dancer, Moses Jr. is hospitalised at the University Hospital of the West Indies and in need of blood.

However, the hospital does not have any available for a transfusion. Carlene also expressed frustration with the Jamaican health care system and urged members of the public to help if they can.

“I’m pleading to anyone out there who can go to the blood bank at Slipe Road… to give blood for Moses Davis Junior… He is in the hospital now, and they don’t have blood to give him. I know my healthcare system here in my country sucks, and it pains my heart,” Carlene said.

Carlene did not share why Moses Jr. had been hospitalised, but he has been living with the lifelong medical condition of sickle-cell anaemia.

After being hospitalised for five days in 2020, Moses shared with the Jamaica Gleaner that he often ends up in the hospital after a severe sickle-cell attack. Describing the severe attack as a crisis, Moses explained that it happens when the pain goes from creeping up his joints and begins to spread all over his body.
