Black Juror Replaced by White Juror in Diddy’s Trial: Defence Cries Foul

Incarcerated music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs remains in the headlines as legal battle and personal tributes collide. Reports on Monday, regarding the ongoing sex-trafficking and racketeering trial, stated that a Black juror was dismissed and replaced with a white alternate — sparking accusations of racial bias from Diddy’s defence team.
The dismissed juror, identified as Juror #6, was removed on June 10 following the prosecution’s claims of inconsistent statements. Despite vigorous objections from the defence, Judge Arun Subramanian approved the replacement, prompting Diddy’s legal team to warn they would seek a mistrial.
In a strongly worded letter, the defence argued the removal was racially motivated, calling it “part of a coordinated effort to try to destroy one of the most successful Black men in American history.” The judge, however, rebuked any suggestion of racial bias.
Outside the courtroom drama, on Father’s Day, Diddy received heartfelt online tributes from two of his sons. Christian “King” Combs who is currently 27 years old posted a childhood photo with his father, writing: “Happy Fathers Day Pops!! I love you & miss you!!! We waiting for you at home.”
while, Justin Combs who is 31 years old also shared a video and photo, thanking Diddy for his presence and support: “My superhero! I’m with you forever no matter what!! Miss you & love you.”
Diddy, 55, is a father of seven.
