Kartel and Co-accused Wishing to Be Home for Christmas

Vybz Kartel and his co-convicts are hoping they will spend Christmas at home. Bert Samuels the lawyer who represents Shawn Storm who is one of Kartel’s co-accused is saying his client is anxious and optimistic, he believes the verdict will be read before the year ends. It has been 1 year and 6 months since the judges have been deliberating and he can’t wait to re-join his family. The lawyer believes his client’s right to a fair trial was prejudiced by some factors. Evidence was allegedly contaminated and still admitted during the 17-week trial. A Blackberry message that was lifted from the deejay’s mobile phone was the chief contaminated evidence. The trial for the killing of Clive ’Lizard’ Williams lasted for 65 days and Kartel and his co-accused Kahira Jones, Shawn Storm and Andre St John were found guilty in 2014.

Mavado’s Son Murder Trial Update

Mavado’s teenage son will be spending Christmas behind bars. The bail application was denied again when he appeared on Wednesday before the Home Circuit Court. Mavado whose given name is David Brooks has a teenage son that was charged jointly with 23-year-old Andre Hines for the murder of Lorenzo Thomas on June 5, 2018 in Cassava Piece, St Andrew. They both were charged with arson, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, shooting with intent and conspiracy to murder. February 18th, is the date that is set for him to return to court for case management. There was also an allegation that the teenager had given his co-accused Hinds an order, to behead the victim. The teenager appeared in the Corporate Area Criminal Court and denied the allegation last year. Veteran dancehaller Bounty Killer is the latest Jamaican celebrity to be hacked, Killer’s verified account which has over 400k followers is now selling shoes and renamed to “Enes Demir”. After finding out that he was hacked Bounty created a new IG account and posted the following ““DI BATTY B***H WITCH FISH DEM A TRY CULTIVATE MI WRATH😂😅🤣,”. All of the Killer’s photos and written contents(identity) were removed by the hacker. Notably Dancer Renee six thirty’s page was hacked by Ivany however this time it would appear that Bounty’s account was hacked by someone overseas. Jamaica Drew With Guyana 1-1

The Jamaica Reggae Boyz narrowly missed out on a perfect run in the 2019-2020 CONCACAF Nation’s League’s group stage after winning all their preview 5 matches, doing so without conceding. Jamaica played Caribbean opponent Guyana on November 18th at Catherine Hall Sports Complex, Montego Bay. Match time, the match kicked off at 8:00 pm. Guyana scored first in the 45th minute then the Reggae Boyz equalized shortly after in the 50th munites. The match was balanced with Jamaica getting a clear chance on goal in added time but was unable to find the back of the net. The Reggae Boyz are on an unbeaten run having won all their matches in the 2019-2020 CONCACAF Nation’s League. On Friday, November 15th the Reggae boyz managed to put 2 goals pass Caribbean opponent Antigua and Barbuda without getting any reply. Jamaica scored in the 34th and 58th minutes.
