Alexandre Jones, manager of Dancehall artiste Chronic Law, is mourning the tragic loss of his 4-year-old daughter, who he claims died due to neglect by medical staff at Bustamante Children’s Hospital in Kingston.

“Me know me can’t get back me daughter alive but the word needs to be out, the doctor dem down a Children’s dem don’t care, dem neglect yuh kids, dem wicked down deh. When yuh go down deh dem deh pan phone and no pay no attention to yuh kid dem wicked. Dem wicked,” he said, expressing his outrage.

After learning of his daughter’s death, Jones sought an independent autopsy to confirm his suspicions. He shared that the hospital staff initially refused to release his daughter’s body, but it was eventually handed over by mistake.

As per Bashy, the pathologist who conducted the autopsy revealed shocking details. It showed that his daughter’s liver had started decaying, despite her death being recorded as only a few days old.

“If my daughter died on the 31st or the 1st, how could her liver start decaying already?” he questioned.

Jones accused the doctors of trying to cover up the cause of death. Initially, he said the doctors at Children’s Hospital told him his daughter was brain dead, but the autopsy revealed she died from a blood clot, which the pathologist stated could have been prevented with blood thinners.

“When we went to do the independent autopsy, they didn’t want us to. They said there was no need, claiming she was brain dead. But after the autopsy, we found out it was a blood clot that killed her,” Jones detailed.

Jones further revealed that his daughter was at the Children’s Hospital for treatment of a tumor. He said that he was advised that it was pressing on her spine, which could have long-term effects on her health.

Reflecting on the situation, Jones regretted not securing a U.S. visa for her to undergo surgery abroad and said that he’s yet to tell his older daughter of her sister’s passing. “If I could go back, I would have had her surgery done overseas,” he admitted.
