Diddy Called “Alter Boy” by His Lawyer: Denied Bail Again

Embattled Hip Hop Mogel Sean Love Combs aka Diddy has been in jail for two days now and the latest reports are that he will be spending more time in federal custody after a second judge denied his request for bail on Wednesday.

Diddy’s bail appeal was present in multiple documents to the court and during the activities, Combs was initially observed to be confident and calm, however, after the bad news, he was in a sad state with his head held down most of the time.

U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter ruled that no bail amount could guarantee Combs wouldn’t tamper with witnesses, a key concern raised by prosecutors. Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson described Combs as a “serial abuser and a serial obstructor” in court.

Combs’ legal team had proposed a $50 million bail package, including home detention with GPS monitoring and restricted visitation, but it was rejected. The judge’s ruling followed a similar decision by Federal Magistrate Robyn F. Tarnofsky earlier this week, who deemed Combs too dangerous to be released.

Combs has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn since his arrest at a Manhattan hotel on Monday. The MDC, known for overcrowding, violence, and poor conditions, has been the subject of numerous complaints.

Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has vowed to appeal the bail decision, arguing that his client could safely be released under strict conditions. For now, Diddy remains behind bars as his legal battle continues.

As per the report, Diddy’s lawyer tried to label him as an “Alter Boy” in court, something the judge did not agreed with. The public figure who has pleaded his innocence is currently facing 9 sexual assault lawsuits. The matter is expected to be taken to trial.

“I gonna fight like hell to get him released, he should be released,” his lawyer said.

Notably, several of Diddy’s children were present to support their father in court on Wednesday.

The rapper could be sentenced to up to 15 years if found guilty.
