Lugg said that she is not physically ill but anxious and still emotionally wounded from what happened to her daughter, who is presumed dead.

“I am not feeling any pain or aches. The only pain I’m feeling is that I’m a bit anxious. Anxiety is killing me to go in that courtroom tomorrow. Just the thought of seeing that savage again one more time after a year. There is a burning in my stomach that will never go away,” Lugg said during her live stream on TikTok.

The grieving mother further shared that she tries to stay strong for her other children, but sometimes she feels as if she can’t make it. Lugg said that some of the hardest moments are when she is alone because if her daughter was still alive, she would be there with her.

According to Lugg, it is especially painful because she believes that Maitland knows exactly what happened to her daughter, whose body was never found. Lugg also highlighted that Kathy-Ann Smith, Maitland’s child’s mother, reportedly left the country.

Lugg also went live Monday morning, while in Kingston, outside of the court house. During her live stream on Sunday, she explained that she would be recording today’s events in hopes of capturing Maitland’s confession.
