As per Lugg, the social media influencer was picked up by Maitland from her home on July 11, she further detailed that she last spoke to Donna-Lee the following morning on July 12 when Donna-Lee asked her to feed her dog.

Lugg detailed that as the day went on, she tried contacting her daughter several times but was unable to get an answer or a call-back. As per Lugg, she was hoping that Donna-Lee would have taken her to the doctor on the same day like she always does.

During her testimony, Donna-Lee’s mother recalled Maitland calling her on the morning of July 13, to ask if she had heard from Donaldson. Lugg outlined that she questioned him about what he asked, given that she was last seen with him.

In reply, he reportedly stated, “Mom, calm down. We had a little dispute, nothing big. She got upset and I was upset too, and she left.” In reply, Lugg stated that she told Maitland to check the camera footage from the apartment, however, she said Maitland told her that he was not at the location but will check when he returns to the apartment.

The court session completed before Lugg finished her testimony. Lugg is expected to continue her testimony on Wednesday in the Home Circuit Court in Kingston.

Prior to the starting of the trial, Donna-Lee’s mother expressed hope that Maitland would ‘confess’ to what happened so that she can stop wondering. Maitland was arrested and charged two weeks after Donna-Lee Donaldson went missing in July of 2022. Donaldson’s body is yet to be located since she went missing.

Noel who is also a music producer is being represented by a legal team which includes Christopher Townsend, Chadwick Berry, Kaysian Kennedy Sherman and Sanjay Smith. Maitland is charged with murder and preventing the lawful burial of a corpse.
