Fans React to Skeng’s New Appearance
Dancehall artiste Skeng is currently the centre of attention and controversy due to a social media post that has been making rounds amongst fans online in recent days. The post in question is a 12 second video clip of the âProtocolâ deejay presumably shooting a scene for an upcoming music video.
Many fans took notice to Skengâs âgoth-likeâ appearance in the video. This look was highlighted by him sporting a dreadlocks hairstyle that is adorned with what is assumed to be nails all around his head almost mimicking that of a crown. Adding to the already pronounced and intense visuals was a dark pigment around his eyes which seemed to be black face paint or mascara which completed a borderline demonic look.
Predictably, this sent fans into a frenzy and ultimately caused a difference of opinion as it regards the interpretation of Skengâs appearance in the video.
On Instagram, one user commented: âHe looks possessed, lord open his heart so he will be delivered and know you.”
Another user commented sharing similar sentiments: âQuestionâŠwhere is dancehall?â
On the other hand, some users viewed it in an entirely different light
Seemingly supporting the deejay, one user commented: âMan a superstar, unu too boring.â
While another user in Skengâs defense commented: âCreate your own style thatâs unique.â followed by a couple of fire emojis.
Ultimately, this video garnered mixed responses from Dancehall fans with some branding it as a form of symbolism and Anti-Christ movement while on the contrary, other users interpreted the video as the artiste being innovative and showcasing his range as an entertainer.
