Foota Hype who had a lot to say leading up to Freedom Street Concert returns with an over hour long video, talking on the happenings on the night, “Kartel get a good crowd” he stated before detailing some of the negatives on the night.
As per Foota Hype, “stage and lighting wise”, the setup was a good look, however, the show seems “unorganised”, pointing to Vybz Kartel asking for several artistes to be let into the venue as a damper on the surprise factor of Popcaan and Bounty Killer entering the venue.
He also detailed that Kartel’s show was not bigger than Buju’s show, nevertheless, it was a good look for the culture. “Overall the show shoulda have a bands,” says Foota Hype as it relates to the production music wise.
Moving on to the the Skatta and Popcaan feud, Foota stated, “Popcaan and Skatta mussi have bad vibes over Ishawna… and dem nuh like each other,” he detailed before outlining that he is her baby father and he never once got into a public feud because of her.
He recalls Popcaan dissing Skatta at a Ghetto Splash, “couple years ago” seeminly because himself and Ishawna “did a link”. Foota says, based on his intel, Skatta seemingly was waiting on the opportunity to get back at Popcaan.
As per Foota, after Popcaan arrived at Freedom Street Concert, he was left outside at the gate because Skatta Burrell initially refused to let them in. “A Ishawna cause the wul a dah problem yah now,” declared Foota Hype.
As it relates to the aftermath of Popcaan telling Skatta about his mother, Foota Hype says Skatta wanted to tell Popcaan about his mother also on the mic, which did not materialise. He also detailed a physical altercation between Skatta and Popcaan at the side of the stage.
