Footage Shows Air India Plane Crashing Into Hostel, Over 240 Dead: Video

A catastrophic air disaster shook the northwestern Indian city of Ahmedabad Thursday, as an Air India passenger aircraft destined for London crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all onboard and several people on the ground.
The tragic accident occurred when the aircraft plummeted from the sky and crashed into a medical college hostel, igniting a massive explosion and fire that left the city in shock and ruin.
Eyewitnesses described scenes of horror as the plane descended rapidly and disappeared from view, followed seconds later by a deafening explosion. A 32-second video clip, now circulating on social media, captured the entire event, from the aircraft’s fiery descent to the moment thick black smoke engulfed the sky with debris scattered across a wide area.
Authorities confirmed that more than 240 passengers and crew were on board the ill-fated flight. The city’s police commissioner stated that there were no survivors from the crash.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, with firefighters, police, and army personnel working tirelessly to contain the blaze, cool the wreckage still laden with jet fuel, and recover bodies from the mangled debris.
Rescue operations are ongoing as authorities attempt to identify victims and assess the full extent of the damage. Local hospitals have been placed on high alert, and grief-stricken families are gathering for news of loved ones.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, calling it a “heart-wrenching national tragedy” and promising a full investigation.
