‘Go Down Deh’ Surpasses 300 Million Views on YouTube

May 1 marked the fourth anniversary of Go Down Deh by Dancehall heavyweights Spice, Shaggy, and Sean Paul after its release in 2021, at the start of July, 2025, the song surpassed 300 million views on YouTube.
Go Down Deh was one of the featured songs on Spice’s long-awaited and much-anticipated debut album, 10, which was released a few months later on the artiste’s birthday, on August 6. The song was also the first collaboration between the Queen of Dancehall and veterans Sean Paul and Shaggy.

Spice described her collaboration with the deejays as one of the biggest milestones in her career. While Shaggy described the artiste as a powerhouse, Sean Paul dubbed the whole experience a great vibe.
Go Down Deh‘s Shaggy and Costi Ionita-produced beat quickly gained attention online after its release. The song’s Jay Will-directed music video was filmed at the popular nightclub Club MECA and highlights Dancehall club and dance culture.

In addition to surpassing 300 million views on YouTube, the song is also Spice’s most-streamed song on Spotify, with over 286 million streams.

Go Down Deh is the third most-streamed song on the platform for Shaggy and the sixth most popular song on Apple Music for Sean Paul.


Go Down Deh proved to be not only a fan favourite but also a mega hit for the artistes, with the trio performing the song on popular American television programmes such as Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live!
It was certified platinum in Canada in 2024. Go Down Deh was also recently given a Gold certificate at the end of June 2025, for streams in France amounting to over 15,000,000.
