The Bahamian Prime Minister addressed his people as Hurricane Dorian approached the island, “this is probably the most sad and the worst day of my life to address the Bahamian people.

This is a deadly storm and a monster storm, and on two previous occasions I had asked people to leave the Cays and there are some who didn’t leave and I can only hope that this won’t be the last time you will be hearing my voice.” He said.

Dorian has left Bahamas in a terrible condition, church buildings, cars and homes have been destroyed, boats are on the streets, electrical wires are down.

Airports were flooded and the roads were blocked after Dorian remained over Abaco and Grand Bahama islands, with winds up to 185 mph and heavy rains, before it moved towards the open waters on Tuesday, making its way to the Florida coast.

Dorian is recorded as the deadliest storm to hit the Bahamas in history.
