Rumour: Jah Cure Released from Prison

A Facebook user and a veteran Dancehall artiste have sparked new rumours of 46-year-old Jah Cure whose real name is Siccature Alcock being released from prison. The first viral post on the matter, over the past 24hrs, from the Facebook user showed a photo of the Montego Bay native along with the caption, “JAH CURE FINALLY RELEASED FROM PRISON”.

The post quickly racked up over 10k likes and over 1.4k comments in less than 24 hours. The post has sparked mixed reactions, with many people expressing joy over the post about his freedom, while others are stating that the singer is still in prison.

Over the past month, several posts have been made online about Jah Cure being freed from prison in the Netherlands, for the most part, most of them have been ignored but the rumours are increasing especially with Dancehall artiste Spragga Benz’s latest post on Instagram.

Thursday morning, Spragga Benz took to social media and posted the same image that was shared in the viral post on Facebook along with the caption, “On the road again…road to #prosperity,” which insinuates that the singer is out of prison.

Spragga Benz’s post was met with mostly positive reactions. One person stated, “Happy for him. That promoter boy that cause all this dirt fi trow pon him,” another stated, “Cure is free at last thank Jah.”

No update regarding Jah Cure has been published online by his Instagram nor his team or any major news outlet up until Thursday morning. The Jamaican is believed to be still behind bars, awaiting his next court date on June, 18 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
