Jamaica DOMINATES Guatemala in 3-0 Thumping

Guatemala and Jamaica faced off on Tuesday, June 10th for the top spot in Group E in a 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier game. The game took place at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Jamaica’s starting XI (11) included Goalkeeper and captain, Andre Blake. Defenders: Joel Latibeaudiere, Damion Lowe, Mason Holgate, Amari’I Bell. Midfielders: Isaac Hayden, Jon Russel, Demarai Gray. Forwards: Leon Bailey, Renaldo Cephas and Warner Brown.

Jamaica dominated the opening 45 minutes and were rewarded with 2 goals. The first goal was scored by Jon Russell who got on the end of a beautifully whipped cross from Leon Bailey in the 26th minute.

The second was from in-form striker, Warner Brown who pounced on a rebound from a Leon Bailey penalty that was parried away by Guatemala’s goalkeeper in the 37th minute.

Both teams made changes in the second half and it was more of the same from Jamaica who proceeded to look like the better team once more.

The Reggae Boyz added a third goal through another Warner Brown finish in the 73rd minute. The goal was assisted by a Demarai Gray corner. Jamaica went on to see out the remainder of the game to the tune of a 3-0 victory.

This win for Jamaica is their second in their last two games and ultimately resulted in them going atop Group E in the Qualifiers.
