According to the Meteorological Service of Jamaica, the country may possibly begin experiencing hurricane conditions across the island within 48 hours. The Met Service also shared that Beryl is traveling approximately 31 kilometers per hour (20 mph) towards the west-northwest.

The hurricane is projected to continue its quick westward to west-northwestward motion during the next few days. Additionally, Beryl’s centre is projected to pass the Windward Islands and travel across the southeastern Caribbean Sea later today as the hurricane draws closer to Jamaica.
