Jamaican Senior Reggae Girlz Beat St. Kitts 7-0

The Jamaican senior Reggae Girlz finished their failed Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifiers campaign in high spirits as expected, as they won Caribbean neighbours St Kitts and Nevis with a 7-0 score in their final Group B competition at HEB Park. 

On Tuesday, the Jamaicans who are ranked as the 51st team, was led by captain Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Kyla McCoy, they made it look easy to win their 126-ranked opponents.

Havana Solaun, Tiffany Cameron, and Trudi Carter scored the others.
The win caused, the Reggae Girlz to end third in the group with three points after Canada who ended with a maximum of nine points after they won Mexico 2-0 earlier.

Mexico was second on six points at the end and they will join Canada at the Semi Finals on Friday.

St Kitts and Nevis ended without scoring.

Canada faces Group A’s runners-up Costa Rica in semi-finals 1, as they won in the group, while Mexico will play against the United States, the hosts and world champions, who are at the top in Group A.

The winners of the 2 semi-finals will qualify to be at the Tokyo Olympics later in the year and will also meet on Sunday at the confederation’s final.

The teams will play both final and semi-finals in Carson, California.
