Dancehall artiste Jamal aka Dunce Man was reportedly arrested and detained by law-enforcers ahead of Sting. As per TikToker Kandy, the ‘Ballon D’or’ artiste was roughed-up by police at an event and then taken away.
The event took place on December 24th in Clarendon and the artiste made a video advertisement about being at the event “in live and living colours” to perform for his fans.
Jamal turned up at the event, but was taken away by Law Enforcers before he could perform.
While talking to Jayden on a TikTok livestream, Kandy said, “Dem nuh dig dung Dunce Man bredda, a bay police a dig dung the man and carry the man guh a station… him nuh get fi perform.”
On December 26, the same day he was scheduled to headline Sting, Jamal shared a photo of himself behind bars, with a text that says, “TIME”.
Two things are still unclear, what he was detained for, and if the Mobay deejay would have been available to perform at Sting 2024, something that might have also played a factor in the show being postponed.
