Vybz Kartel’s latest song titled ‘The Comet‘ is a missile aimed at his rivals inside Dancehall and outside the music genre, he also used the song to highlight several of his enviable achievements obtained while he was behind bars.

While many people are debating the sonics of the track, the lyrics are undeniably hard-hitting.

Some of the standout lyrics from the song include, “Di deejay dem weh neva wah people si mi, p**syhole unuh neva wah the judge fi free mi, but from mi touch the microphone yo get evict yo simi.”

The controversial deejay did not mention names but fans are calling names online.

Vybz Kartel is known to be territorial with regards to Dancehall, as evident in the past when he was out and about as the main man in the genre locally/regionally, prior to his lockup. During that era, most artistes getting breakthroughs in local Dancehall were associated with or affiliated with the Portmore deejay. It was a similar situation for producers, fueling the rise of Di Genius, Rvssian, Notnice and others.

His lengthy time in lockup caused him to lose some of his earlier strong grip on the culture, as it relates to artistes and production. Now he’s back on the road, the deejay is looking to control the majority of the happenings, similar to his mentor Bounty Killer while at the heights of his career.

The music video for ‘The Comet‘ was released on Friday, September 13 and swiftly racked up over 500k views on YouTube in just 16 hours after it was released, it has also claimed the number 2 spot on YouTube trending, threatening to take over the number one spot soon.

Reacting to the new visuals, one fan commented, “What a time to be alive to finally see Vybz Kartel in a music video for the first time in so many years. Happy to see World Boss Happy Again!”

Another fan said, “Vybz Kartel Has Made Me The HAPPIEST person on earth….laughing with his SON…LAUGHING AHIS HATERS AND Gaza nation …A Ha Ha Leggo with T-SHIRT.”
