Kaylan Dowdie Celebrates her 22nd Birthday: See Photos

Kaylan Dowdie, who survived a brutal attack in November 2020, celebrated her 22nd birthday on Saturday.
Dowdie took to social media on Sunday to share with her Instagram followers that she had celebrated her birthday the day before. She shared multiple photos of her posing in her wheelchair, which were seemingly taken on the day of the celebration.

Dowdie rocked burgundy hair for the occasion and was dressed in a white silk ensemble, which consisted of a jacket, shorts, a bra top, and Clarks.

She received a number of well wishes and happy birthday messages from her supporters in the comment section of the post.
“Clarks pan foot dem no know the thing no shakey🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳. Happy birthday doll 😍,” one of her supporters wrote.

Another supporter lashed out at Dowdie’s attackers in her birthday message.
“All dem weh try kill the child hope y’all suffering today happy birthday babe,” the supporter said.

Following the outpouring of support over the last few days, Dowdie expressed her gratitude in an Instagram Story on Wednesday.
“Been a try answer everyone individually but that nah work out. Thanks for all the birthday wishes I really appreciate them,” Dowdie wrote.
At the time of her physical assault, Dowdie was 17. The then-teenager was attending an illegal party in Barbican, St. Andrew when she was allegedly beaten near death and stabbed in the neck by five women.
The accused, 28-year-old Shakeema McLead, 33-year-old Nadine Aldridge, 45-year-old Yoland Vassell, 22-year-old Timone Williams, and 26-year-old Casiann Lewis, were later charged and released on bail. A trial date has still not been set.
