Khago Reveals He’s “Close Family” with Chronixx and Reason for Them not Linking-Up!

Ricardo Gayle who is better known as Khago talked on several different topics, including his family, his upbringing, his musical career, God and more. One of the highlights of the interview, released on Friday, was when the Manchester based singjay revealed that he’s “close family” member with popular Reggae artiste Chronixx.
However, despite being blood relative with the Spanish Town artiste, Khago believes that Chronixx and his father seemingly do not wish to connect with him nowadays because he did not give Chronixx any ‘strength’ in the music business the early days. Khago detailed that his father and the ‘Here Comes Trouble’ artiste’s father are cousins.
Khago highlighted that Chronixx himself had requested for a strength before breaking on the scene.
“You know Chronixx neva talk to mi yet and mi would a like him fi understand the reason mi neva help him. Him father reach out to mi fi help him, but mi couldn’t help him, mi did a get too much fight. And mi neva wah align my germs fi wash off pan him, yuh understand suh, mi notice seh him and him fada nuh really look pan mi,” says Khago.
Khago went on to detail that he assisted Chronixx’s father in the past with dubplates despite not assisting Chronixx directly, “Mi usually help him fada financially with dubs and dem thing deh, cause him fada a mi cousin… Mi a tell him fada seh mi can’t dweet… mi a protect him by hiding from him… Mi affi a tell Chronicle seh no mi cah help Chrionixx, cause the people weh a fight mi powerful… A mi family, close family man.”
Khago outlined that despite not meeting Chronixx in person, he met his father before, “Him fada si mi a Valley Hill and a beg mi”.
In the interview published by the Jamaica Star, Khago stated that he is better at Reggae, but he intentionally does more Dancehall music because he has ‘a sound like Bob Marly’ which he got from his time spent in St. Ann where Bob Marley is from.
As per Khago he does not want to be accused of copying the legend, hence he switches up his style at times.
