Khago Says: “Ginjah weh sing ‘never lost my way’, back gun pan mi last night!”

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, Dancehall/Reggae entertainer Ricardo Gayle, popularly known as ‘Khago’, took to social media, via livestream, to share his ‘troubling’ experience with a fellow Jamaican artiste.
During the livestream, Khago appeared visibly shaken and tense as he described a disturbing incident involving fellow Reggae artiste Ginjah, known for his hit single ‘Never Lost My Way.’
What began as a professional collaboration on Khago’s new project, the Two Time Riddim, seemingly quickly escalated into a conflict. Khago said he was honoured to have Ginjah on the riddim and had explicitly asked both Ginjah and his producer, Gadafi, not to leak it.
However, according to Khago, the riddim was leaked, which deeply upset him. As a result, he expressed his disappointment in Ginjah’s producer lack of trustworthiness and blocked both Ginjah and Gadafi.
Khago explained that Ginjah initially called to apologize, and he accepted the apology.
However, the situation took a darker turn on Wednesday night at Weddy Weddy. After Khago’s performance at the event, where Stone Love played a vibrant selection of Reggae music. Khago expressed he was approached by a man who said, “Yo Khago, Ginjah want talk to you.”
Khago stated, “Ginjah weh sing never lost my way, back gun pan mi last night… I know town-man badness, town-man craft,” expressing his belief that Ginjah had ulterior motives. During the phone call, despite the lively music in the background, as per Khago, Ginjah pointed a firearm at the screen while issuing threats.
Seemingly still traumatized by the situation as persons told him that he is lucky to be alive, Khago expressed, “If a never Weddy Weddy me deh last night me lose me life.”
This incident will come as a surprised to many as the ‘Never Lost My Way’ entertainer public perception does not include the use of firearms and passing threats.
He is widely known for singing soulful and uplifting music. Khago stated that he reported the incident to the police. Ginjah, however, has since reportedly denied the allegations.
