Koffee, Jamaica’s youngest reggae sensation has debuted at no.1 on the Billboard Reggae charts

Since her tribute to Track Superstar Usain Bolt, the young teenager as been making airwaves across the island. In just a year and a half since recording that first video, Simpson, who sings under the stage name Koffee (sometimes Original Koffee), has been wholeheartedly embraced by some of Jamaica’s most famous Legendary musicians as well other female Reggae artists and their huge fan bases.

At reggae festival Rebel Salute, the veteran artist Cocoa Tea introduced Koffee to a massive audience one month before her 18th birthday. Now 19, the DJ and singer-songwriter or “singjay,” in island parlance has already had a spectacular performance alongside contemporary Reggae icons.

Her well written hit song labeled “Rapture” had not only garnered the attention of the wider listeners but had also earned her the no. 1 spot on the chart.

Koffee is now among the five female Reggae artists to have achieved such fast rising success. She had been vastly featured in the media on several occasions.
