Likkle Addi’s Ex-Girlfriend Blames Shorty for DNA Results of Her Son – Watch Video
Vybz Kartel’s son Akheel Raheim Palmer, professionally known as Likkle Addi, stunned many when he announced that he was expecting his first child at 15 in 2020. People were equally stunned when he later declared in 2022 that the child was not his, but the young artiste’s ex-girlfriend has alleged that his mother, Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson, falsified the DNA results of their son.
Following her round of heated exchanges with Johnson on social media, podcaster Shelly-Ann Curran addressed the pair’s disagreement at the beginning of her show, Tea Time with Shelly-Ann Curran, later interviewing Likkle Addi’s ex, Chyna. Seeking to tell her side of the story, Chyna said the aftermath of Likkle Addi’s statements and the public backlash left her depressed. According to the young mother, things began to fall apart after her highly publicized 18th birthday/baby shower in 2020.
Despite the young age of the expecting parents, the baby shower had been a happy time for the Palmer family, with Johnson taking pictures with the soon-to-be mother and father. But when rumours began to spread about Chyna, Johnson requested a DNA test. Chyna said that she was told by Vybz Kartel not to go, but she went because she was sure of her son’s paternity.
Seemingly describing a Noninvasive Prenatal Paternity (NIPP) test, Chyna said that the doctor Johnson brought her to took blood samples from her via her arm, unlike the amniocentesis and Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) methods she had knowledge of. The then 18-year-old questioned the use of this method but was assured that the physicians could identify the baby’s blood cells. Chyna expressed that she thought it unusual that Likkle Addi did not have his DNA taken there but would receive a swab test from Johnson.
After the results returned as a negative match, Chyna said that she was reassured by Kartel, who said they could do another one when the baby was born. After giving birth to her son, Akeil Palmer, overseas, she and Likkle Addi had an altercation, after which Johnson declared that she did not care about the infant anymore. Chyna later stated that Johnson claimed she did a second DNA test without her knowledge, which proved once again that the child was not Likkle Addi’s son.
According to Chyna, she paid for another DNA test and arranged a date, but no one from the Palmer family showed up to do the test. Chyna said she was certain that the child was Likkle Addi’s and expressed her bewilderment at how Johnson would let her personal feelings towards her affect her grandchild.
