Mr. Vegas Continues Political Tirade Ahead of Elections With New Provocative Statements about Mark Golding and PNP supporters

Mr. Vegas using his social media platform and unique way of political commentary to inspire discussion about Jamaican politics. As Jamaica gets closer to a general election, political rhetoric is on the rise. The usual bickering between politicians of the two major political parties is starting to become more prevalent, and with that, activists and supporters of the two major political parties are becoming more vocal. One such supporter/activist is Mr. Vegas.

There can be no doubt that Mr. Vegas is a staunch supporter of the Jamaica Labour Party(JLP), as he made that fact quite clear again recently, as he firmly defended JLP, and specifically leader Andrew Holness, while chastising and demeaning the leader of the opposition People’s National Party( PNP), Mark Golding.

According to Mr Vegas whose real name is Clifford Smith, Mr Golding doesn’t practice proper hygiene, and does not demonstrate the qualities becoming of a leader. Mr Vegas is also outraged that a member of the public, Tanya Stephens, refused to shake hands with prime minister Andrew Holness in early March, at an event hosted by former Reggae Boy, Ian ‘Pepe’ Goodison.

During what appears to be alive stream video, Mr Vegas stated, “oonu a put oonu hand behind oonu when the prime minister stretch out him hand, an when oonu si di white man weh have on the same set a clothes from 6 am, because him have campaign in Old Harbour, an when you see him 7 pm, him in a di same clothes, mi nuh know how oonu dweet.”

Implying that supporters of the PNP can refuse to shake hands with the prime minister, while embracing Mark Golding despite him being offensively malodorous. Mr Vegas continued his disgust with the supporters of the PNP by stating, “mi nuh know how oonu tolerate it, mi nuh know weh oonu pride deh, weh oonu dignity deh, this man have on the same clothes night and day, an wah be leader for the country.”

Mr Vegas went on to further condemn the supporters of the PNP calling them “fool fool” During his lengthy tirade, Mr Vegas unleashed his distaste for what he referred to as followers of a cult. He said “ him nah fi try write dung nutten, him nah fi try do a proper presentation, because him know oonu nah go understand nutten, because dem already conform to yuh cult.”

In Mr Vegas’s opinion, some supporters of the PNP cannot think for themselves, and as a result, they are easily misled. What’s more, these supporters are usually the ones engaging in bullying tactics, trying to get other citizens to vote for the PNP.

Mr. Vegas declared that those days are done, gone are the days when few illiterate people are allowed to decide the result of an election for the majority. Mr Vegas remains resolute in “fighting fi wi country, standing up for wi country, gone are the days when we mek dunce, illiterate people decide for us.”

Further on in the live, Mr Vegas outlined that he is committed to continuing with his social and political commentary, and will not be bullied by the supporters of the PNP, he stated, “Wi standing up with Andrew Holness if it cost we everything, tink seh we a mek oonu get the internet for oonu self, F any fans who nuh wah support wi, because at the end of the day we standing up for our country
mi standing up fi mi country until di day mi dead.”

Mr. Vegas commentary reflects both his passion for the party he supports(JLP), leader Andrew Holness and also his country Jamaica. He has assume the role of defending the JLP and the legacy of prime minister Holness. He is clearly angry with elements within the opposition People’s National Party, who are engaging in tactics of intimidation.

But for Mr Vegas, this will not deter him, as he believes the middle class and the professional class in general, are becoming more involved in politics and this is will benefit the JLP more than the opposition PNP – time will tell.
