National Parenting Support Commission Reaches Out To Woman Abusing Child In Viral Video

[Sharingbuttons]The National Parenting Support Commission has contacted the woman seen beating and threatening her daughter in the latest child abuse viral video to hit social media.

Kaysia Kerr, Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, revealed that the woman has been contacted and is receiving counseling from the organisation and a team will again reach out to her today.

“The Parenting Support Commission has been on top of it. I have been in touch with the parent and we have organised counseling support. I have bene on the phone consistenty with her all day. There are many layers to what has happened, as I suspected,” said Kerr in a news report.

“But while I continue to say that, while we do not support a particular behaviour, we do not condemn parents. That behaviour is not something that we will ever support but I know that re-education is a must,” she adss.

On Sunday the Jamaica Constabulary Force urged the woman in the video to contact the nearest police station.
