Neighbour Describes Seeing Maitland and ‘light-skinned, slim, with long black hair’ Female in Surveillance Footage

The latest update in Constable Noel Maitland‘s trial is that he reportedly had asked his neighbour to delete surveillance footage which shows him entering and exiting the apartment complex where he lives in St. Andrew.
According to Maitland’s neighbour who testified via video link on Thursday, the cop initially contacted him on July 13, 2022, then turned up at his door the following day. The witness says Noel “seemed worried” when he visited to view the surveillance footage.
The witness detailed that footage from his cameras shows Maitland’s vehicle entering and exiting the Chelsea Manor Apartment complex where he lives between July 11 and July 12.
The neighbour also testified that a female was seen entering the apartment with Maitland. The Witness also gave a description of the female, stating that she was light-skinned, slim, with long black hair. There was no video showing the female leaving, as per the witness.
The witness also stated that Maitland told him the reason why he wanted to view the recordings was because a girl went missing from the apartment complex and he knows that his workplace will be investigating the matter and he does not want to be seen doing anything prohibited including smoking which may hinder his chance of getting a promotion.
The neighbour recalled that the cop requested that he delete the videos showing his vehicle, multiple times. The neighbour is expected to continue his testimony on Monday, May 26.
Earlier in the month, Donna-Lee Donaldson’s mother, Sophia Lugg testified in court that Noel told her that he checked the camera personnel for the apartment and there was no footage of the social media influencer leaving, however, several vehicles entered and left the complex.

The mother also detailed that Maitland picked up Donaldson at her gate on July 11 and that she last spoke to Donaldson on the morning of July 12, she stated that she was expecting her daughter to return on the 12th to accompany her to the hospital.
The trial is scheduled to continue on Monday in the Home Circuit Court.
Last month, right before the starting of the trial, the mother went live and expressed hope that Noel would “confess”.
