No to Corporal Punishment Ban in School Says Student

[Sharingbuttons]Deandra Edwards a Jamaican student has been speaking out passionately about the Government’s decision to ban corporal punishment in schools. She strongly opposes this plan because of the break down in the behavior of students in schools over the years. Teachers are being disrespected and there are a lot of students who waste time.

When students are not reprimanded strongly, she believes the situation will get worse very quickly. It would be good if the Government had started implementing a program that would help to improve the behavior of the students before the ban is enforced.

It is clear that this female student is very concerned because there was a female student who was raped by 5 boys recently. The Government should quickly put programs in place to help students to behave properly at all times, before they enforce the ban.
