Papie Keelo Returns With ‘V8’ ft. Scrappa

Kingston native Dancehall artiste Papie Keelo is intent on making a mark in the genre, so much so that he has been consistently releasing music over the years, having release his debut 6-track EP in September 2024 titled ‘Super Bold EP Vol. 1’.

Following the EP roll-out which features a song with Gaza deejay Shawn Storm, Papie Keelo dropped a single in December titled ‘184’.

Now, the deejay has returned to the music scene with his first release of 2025 titled ‘V8’ featuring Scrappa which is accompanied by an eye-catching music video, showing visuals from inside a studio and multiple other locations.

Notably, the video mainly features Papie Keelo as he performs to the lyrics of the song and shows off his fashion sense plus his love for weed and liquor. The video also shows scenes of the deejay playing a piano, highlighting his deep love for music and also the key instruments that makes up the beat.

It’s a witty Trap-Dancehall song for weed lovers/smokers that features a trap beat covered by both rapping and Dancehall deejaying type of lyrics from both artistes as they show their versatily.

Some lyrics, “From mi pull-up inna the club V8 inn mi brain that is a deferent type a strain keelo a nuh cocaine… Mi feel the pain but mi still smoke the same put mi picture in the frame scrape dem champagne.”

As Papie Keelo who also goes by the name Di Spanish Boss continues to build his discography and fan base, ‘V8’ which is produced by World Cloud Music could be a turning point in his artistic journey.
