Bob Marley’s Biopic Gets 2024 Release Date

Paramount Pictures announced the release date for the much anticipated Bob Marley Biopic directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green.

The date set for the film surrounding the life of the Reggae legend has been set for release on January 12, 2024. Just last month, British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir was chosen to play the lead role of Marley; however, many naysayers thought Paramount could have gotten someone out of Jamaica. The sentiments were becoming even more controversial with the added voice of Ky-Mani Marley on the matter.

Ben-Adir is regarded as a well-equipped actor and has played some very important leadership roles in his career, from being Malcolm X in “One Night In Miami” to playing Barack Obama in Show Time’s “The Comey Rule” and also appearing in BBC’s Peaky Blinders series.

In addition to his experience as an actor, Ben-Adir is known for having biracial parents with his mother having her roots in Trinidad while his father is a white Englishman.

The screenwriter of the Biopic is said to be Zach Baylin and placed together with Reinaldo Marcus Green, the film is expected to be a great one.

Green is already a popular figure in the movie industry since he was the director of the recent movie “King Richard” which tells the story of the father of Serena and Venus Williams.

As far as the movie production is concerned, Ziggy, Rita and Cedella Marley along with Robert Teitel have been given that responsibility. Even though the movie does not have a final plot based on what Green said in the past it might be based on the making of the Exodus album.
