American rapper Rick Ross will be flying to the island for the Sandz Caribbean Music Festival’s Vacae Weekend in April. Patrons will be in for a treat at this year’s staging of Sandz’s 3-day Vacae Weekend event on April 7–10.
The event, slated to be in Ocho Rios, St Ann, will see hip-hop giant Rick Ross take the stage on Easter Weekend. Rick Ross is popularly known for his songs Hustlin’, Speedin’, Aston Martin Music, and Hold Me Back.
The 46-year-old Mississippi native, born William Leonard Roberts II, is also a record executive and the founder of big-time record label Maybach Music Group, which, according to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, launched the careers of rappers like Meek Mill and French Montana.
The announcement of the Hustlin’ rapper’s addition to the lineup was made yesterday while alerting partygoers to secure their early bird tickets before the sale ends within two weeks. General tickets are sold for $135 US, and VIP for $210 US.
Among the more well-known beach parties conducted in Jamaica and the Caribbean, Sandz is one of the most recognisable names. Although Sandz is mostly recognised as a beach-themed event, the directors have dipped into several entertainment-related fields.
According to the Jamaica Observer, since the Sandz brand launch in 2014, it has expanded significantly, thanks to advances in the worldwide market and diversification into the carnival industry.
