After kicking off her musical career in early 2024 with her very first professional release titled ‘Whiplash’, a little over a year later Sandra Rose has released over a dozen songs with her latest release being ‘It’s Me’ which was premiered on Friday, April 18.

The song speaks from the perspective of a woman who’s aware of her effect, but emotionally removed. It’s playful, a little toxic, and brutally honest. With lines like “I have ’em by 1,2,3s / You thought you were made for me,” the message is clear: you were never the exception.

Despite predominantly dropping Dancehall tracks over the past year, including a feature with Shawn Storm titled ‘Luxury Dolly’, this new released is something different, as the 26-year-old St. Ann native explores different genres and styles.

Following in the footsteps of her mother, the young artiste first pursued a career in modelling, a career she maintained for a decade before pursuing music.

In addition to appearing in fashion shows and magazines, she has also appeared in music videos for the likes of DJ Khaled and Charly Black. Despite not taking music seriously until 2024, Sandra Rose shared in an interview with The Fix podcast that she has been making her own music since childhood.

In her latest musical release, the multi talented entertainer who is also a good dancer channels her inner ‘Bad Gyal’ side while also being playful and straightforward at the same time. It must also be mentioned that she’s singing like never before, putting her vocal range on full display throughout the chorus.

Some lyrics, “Baby i’m tempted by your love it’s captivating, the way you got me feeling it’s amazing… baby, baby, but you was just another game to me… i can’t take you seriously, we never meant to be just another man to me.”

The music video for ‘It’s Me’ features Sandra at various locations, mostly by herself, however, she was accompanied by what seems to be mystery men who have been stalking her at multiple of the locations, she also shows that she has been clowning them out, not taking them ‘seriously’.
