After a two-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, one of the country’s most prolific events that is even branded by many as ‘The Greatest Reggae Show on Earth’ will return once again at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Head of Downsound Entertainment, Joe Bogdanovich announced on Tuesday that the iconic Reggae Sumfest show is scheduled for July 21-23, 2022 and will feature some of the hottest names in music along with the “ALPHA” woman being a headliner on its stage.
“We are excited to see Shenseea working so hard during the pandemic, and we are now creating a platform in Jamaica for her to share her stardom with her fans,” stated Bogdanovich.
Shenseea is the second person that has been confirmed for the show behind veteran Reggae artiste Sizzla Kalonji who was confirmed earlier this month. Though no other names have been announced for the event, the promoters guarantee that they have an incredible festival planned for supporters.
Following the release of her debut album “ALPHA” on March 11, 2022, the rising international star has received notable commendations such as topping the Reggae Albums Chart on iTunes, being #13 on the US iTunes Album chart, #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and having 10 songs trending on the Hot 200 chart.
