Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson has chosen to remain silent as the drama surrounding her ex-common-law husband, Vybz Kartel, and his new fiancée, Sidem Özürk, unfolds in the media. But following allegations made on the Tea Time with Shelly-Ann Curran podcast, Johnson is finally speaking out.
Johnson has been a topic of discussion on Curran’s show over her last two episodes. In an episode released in December, Curran and her guest and brand ambassador Pinkii Pinkx of Theomoy Entertainment jokingly spoke about how Johnson had to leave Kartel’s house, which is now occupied by Özürk.
During her most recent episode, Curran brought on a masked, unnamed guest who claimed that Kartel was upset with Johnson because she had slept with Popcaan. According to the guest, before Johnson was removed from Kartel’s house, he had taken back a car from her after finding out about the relationship.
Noting that she does not usually respond even though people try everything to get her attention, Johnson confronted Curran on Instagram and requested that she leave her alone. Johnson also reminded the former Digicel senior sponsorship manager of her past affairs while she was married.
“… Shelly remember good say you f**k all a them and yuh husband divorce yuh. Aguh leave unuh to time. Me nuh pass round inna circle,” Johnson wrote in the comment section of one of Curran’s posts.
Curran went on to block Johnson, and when asked why by a viewer, Curran said that she did not want to stress her out. Curran, who is also the CEO of Shelly-Ann Curran Music Group, later said that Johnson was free to come on her podcast as both of them were husbandless.
However, Johnson proceeded to post several videos and photos of herself, seemingly no longer bothered by Curran’s statements. Captioning a photo of her in firm-fitting leggings and a matching bralette, Johnson wrote, “They will do anything for clout while I’m over here unbothered and have them busy.”
