The race began with Tia and Tina Clayton leading the pack, but midway through, Tia suffered an injury and was forced to slow down, leaving Tina to power ahead to victory.

Shericka Jackson finished a close second in 10.88 seconds, while Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, in what was her final 100m race at Jamaica’s National Stadium, came third with a time of 10.91 seconds.

The night was especially emotional for Fraser-Pryce, affectionately known as the “Pocket Rocket,” as she booked her place on the team for the World Championships in what could be one of her last international appearances.
