Three people were killed early Saturday morning after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed and became engulfed in flames along Eastwood Park Road, Half-Way Tree, St Andrew.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. All the names of the occupants have not yet been released to the public, but one of the victims was revealed to be Delano Daley, a new signee of Tivoli Gardens Football Club and formerly of Waterhouse F.C.

Reports state that five people were travelling together in a Honda City motor car at the time of the accident.

After reaching the vicinity of 26 Eastwood Park Plaza, their car veered off the roadway onto private property. The vehicle then crashed into a wall and a wooden utility pole and later became engulfed in flames.

All five of the car’s occupants were injured during the crash, three of whom, two men and one female, were later pronounced dead at the hospital.

In footage recorded at the scene of the crash, the heavily burnt shell of the Honda City motor car can be seen on top of a tow truck while a distraught man can be heard crying in the background.

Tivoli Gardens Football Club extended their condolences to Daley’s family and friends on their Instagram page following this morning’s crash.
