Tory Lanez was Stabbed 14 Times: 7 to his Back, 2 to Head, 1 to Face
As per an update provided online Monday evening, Tory Lanez whose birth name is Daystar Peterson was stabbed 14 times by another inmate at around 7:20 a.m. on May 12. The statement also revealed that the ‘Say It’ singer was placed on a breathing apparatus after both his lungs collapsed.
The 32-year-old who is behind bars for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion is serving a 10-year prison sentence at the California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi. He has spent 4 years so far, October 2025 will mark 5 years since the Canadian has been behind bars.
a statement shared to Tory Lanez’s official Instagram page reads, “Tory was stabbed 14 times – including 7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face. Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing apparatus. He is now breathing on his own.”
It concluded, “Despite being in pain, he is talking normally, in good spirits, and deeply, thankful to God that he is pulling through. He also want to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support.”
It is unclear what caused the attack. On the other hand, the stabbing took place days after Lanez posted a photo online of himself and several other prison inmates.
