Two years after Dancehall sound selector Ricky Trooper‘s daughter Brianna Destiny McKoy was found lifeless on April 6, 2023, the man responsible for her murder 43 Derrick Francis has been found guilty of the crime which took place in Connecticut, USA.
Trooper’s daughter who was 23 years old at the time was found unresponsive at her home along with a child who was not armed. Days after the discovery, Francis was caught and arrested by the police after a foot chase.
Francis was found guilty by three judges on Friday, April 25 in Connecticut. He is set to be sentenced in a month’s time on June 5. He’s facing up to 60 years behind bars.
Trooper is yet to react publicly to the conviction of his daughter’s killer.
In 2023, weeks after his daughter’s death, the legendary sound killer from Killamanjaro and owner of Sound Trooper Sound System whose real name is Garfield McKoy was granted a visa to visit the USA and attend his daughter’s funeral.

He had not visited the USA many years prior, because his visa was taken away, along with many Dancehall personalities during the Dudus extradition period.
