Usain Bolt’s Father Wellesley Bolt’s Funeral Attended by PM Holness and Others

The funeral for Usain Bolt‘s father, Wellesley Bolt, took place today, April 4 inside the Falmouth Seventh Day Adventist Church in Trelawny. Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Minister Grange, Chris Gayle were amongst the many popular figures who attended in support of Bolt and his family.

Wellesley Bolt passed away a little over a month ago on March 31 after struggling with a lengthy illness.

Bolt’s mother, Jennifer Bolt, his partner Kasi Bennett and children, plus other noticeable persons including Minister of National Security Horace Chang and former prime minister Bruce Golding were present in church.

Holness gave a speech at the funeral and was well received by the legendary Jamaican sprinter as shown in several photos posted by Holness. Nevertheless, The photos of Bolt and Holness at the funeral are promoting mixed reactions online with some persons expressing gladness to see the two men interacting with each other.

Others are calling out the prime minister for his lack of words and seemingly little action to help Bolt amidst the SSL crisis.
