Vybz Kartel Once Said: “Beenie Man you a King of the Dancehall from yuh come outta yo Madda”

The saga regarding who is the current ‘King of Dancehall’ continues into 2025 with Beenie Man saying on several occasions that he is still the reigning King of the genre.
Since his release from prison in the summer of 2024, Vybz Kartel has not acknowledged Beenie Man as the “King” or an associate in the music business.
Despite not hurling any direct insult at each other, both have made shady comments such as, ‘One King one clown’ said Beenie and ‘One king, any other king is Burger King’ said Kartel.
Thursday night Beenie Man took to Instagram to remind everyone of the time Vybz Kartel saluted him as the ‘King of Dancehall’ while onstage performing years ago.
“Beenie Man, You a King of the Dancehall from yuh come outta yo Madda belly,” Said Kartel.
