2 Killed at Illegal Party in Westmoreland
On Thursday, November 10, a party promoter by the name Owen King and a music influencer named Craig Chambers were shot dead at what is said to be an illegal party in Frome, on Jane Mark’s Road, Georges Plain.
Reports state that the fatal shooting incident took place at around 11:30 PM on Thursday. Westmoreland Police reports say that Chambers and King were in attendance at a gathering being held at a bar on the roadside. Suddenly, a white Toyota Axio pulled up to the event and two men brandishing handguns exited the car and started shooting.
The victims, who were occupying the entrance to the establishment, were shot multiple times in their upper body region. The shooters then fled the scene.
Dead are 48-year-old Owen King, more popularly known as ‘Peterkin’, and 50-year-old Craig Chambers, also known by the moniker ‘Gaddis’. King is a resident of the Georges Plain community. The men were taken to the Savanna-La-Mar Public General Hospital directly after the incident; however, they were pronounced dead after succumbing to their wounds.
